About This Access Site
Wild Rice Lake is a 384-acre lake in Boulder Junction, Vilas County, offering public access via a paved boat ramp. The lake has a maximum depth of 26 feet with a mean depth of 11 feet, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp provides convenient access for launching small craft and exploring the Manitowish Waters lake chain.

The lake supports diverse recreational fishing with populations of musky, northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Beyond fishing, the lake is designated for water contact recreation and wildlife viewing.
