About This Access Site
Wilderness Landing Park is a 25-acre facility in Munson offering convenient access to the Blackwater River for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The site features a functional boat ramp, making it suitable for launching various watercraft. Amenities include restrooms, picnic areas, and primitive camping (first come-first serve basis with both RV and tent sites available), making it a good base for multi-day paddling trips or day outings.

To reach the landing, take State Road 4 from Baker, turning onto Barton Road, then Corduroy Road, and finally Wilderness Landing Road. Beyond water access, the park offers hiking trails and fishing opportunities along the river. The location serves as an excellent gateway for exploring the scenic Blackwater River, a popular paddling destination known for its clear waters and natural beauty. The nearby Blackwater Heritage State Trail also provides additional recreational opportunities for hiking and biking.
