Located 1½ miles southwest of Pierce in northeast Nebraska, this boat ramp provides access to Willow Creek Lake, a 700-acre flood control reservoir fed by Willow Creek as it meanders toward the Elkhorn River. The North access point is the primary launch facility for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters looking to explore the lake. **Note:** A park permit is required to access this Nebraska Game & Parks Commission facility; day-use passes are available.
The recreation area is well-developed with modern amenities including camping (both tent and RV sites with electrical hookups), showers, picnic areas, and a swimming beach. Beyond paddling, the area features an 8-mile limestone hiking/biking trail that circles much of the lake and seven handicapped-accessible fishing piers. The calm, reservoir environment makes Willow Creek Lake suitable for recreational paddling and fishing.
To reach the North access, take U.S. Highway 34 north from Granby for approximately six miles, then turn west onto County Road 40 (Willow Creek Reservoir). Contact Nebraska Game & Parks Commission for current permit fees, seasonal access information, and facility hours before your visit.
