About This Access Site
Willow Drive is a public boat launch on Lake Mendota in Madison, providing convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft. The launch features a 12-foot-wide concrete ramp with slip-resistant surfacing, suitable for launching trailered boats and paddle craft. A daily or annual permit is required year-round for all watercraft. Note that personal paddle craft storage rental is available exclusively for Wisconsin Union Members.

This access point is well-maintained and designed to accommodate various water enthusiasts, including anglers and recreational paddlers. Lake Mendota supports all types of watercraft, including motorized boats, sailboats, canoes, and kayaks. Piers are available seasonally from spring through mid-fall.
