**Location & Access:** This access site is located near Morocco in Newton County, Indiana, at the headquarters of Willow Slough Fish & Wildlife Area. Two boat ramps are available for launching kayaks, canoes, and other boats. Boats may only be launched from the headquarters area.
**Paddling Opportunities:** J.C. Murphey Lake is a substantial 1,200+ acre water body surrounded by diverse wetland habitat. Kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding are all permitted on the lake. Note that swimming is not allowed. For ice-fishing season and winter paddling, access to the back of the lake becomes available after deer muzzleloader season ends (typically late December).
**Additional Information:** Willow Slough FWA is a multi-use recreation area, so you may encounter hunting activities on the property. Plan your visit accordingly, especially during hunting seasons.
