Wilson Lake County Park provides a well-maintained public boat launch in Wittenberg, located in Shawano County. The facility features a 2-lane concrete ramp, courtesy dock, and paved parking area—making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. To access the site, take CR 79 to Point Road, then follow to Lakeview Road and turn right; the park entrance is at the end of Lakeview Road.
Before heading out, be aware of Wilson Lake's specific regulations. The lake enforces Slow-No-Wake rules daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 AM, with motorized watercraft exceeding No-Wake speed required to travel counter-clockwise. The lake contains open water-aerators, so watch carefully for ice holes and changing conditions, especially during winter months. Overnight camping and campfires are not permitted at this access site. Safe swim areas are marked near the launch.
