**Location & Facilities**
The Wilson-Otoe boat ramp is located at Wilson State Park in Russell County, Kansas, providing access to Wilson Lake on the Saline River. The access site is part of the Otoe Area of the park, which features a boat ramp, camping facilities, and hiking trails along scenic prairie shoreline. Minooka Park Campground nearby offers 159 modern campsites with lake views and additional amenities including a sand volleyball court and playground.
**Water Conditions & Character**
Wilson Lake offers clear blue water and is known as one of Kansas's prettier lakes, making it popular with paddlers and anglers. The underlying Saline River is a large stream system (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of 278 cubic feet per second and moderate gradient of 4.3 feet per mile. Paddlers should expect typical prairie river conditions with moderate current and should be prepared for varying water levels depending on season and dam operations.
**Getting There**
From Muscle Shoals, take SR 184 east to CR 79 and turn north. Follow CR 79 to Point Road, then continue to Lakeview Road and turn right to reach the access site.
