The Wilton boat ramp provides excellent access to the Little River in southwest Arkansas. This headwater stream is part of the Red River basin, flowing over 850 miles before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. With an average flow of over 6,500 cubic feet per second and a gradient of 4.2 feet per mile, the Little River is a substantial waterway suitable for a variety of boating activities.
The boat ramp is located directly off Highway 441, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. The wide, concrete ramp allows for easy loading and unloading. Nearby, the Millwood Lake recreation area and Pond Creek National Wildlife Refuge offer additional opportunities for water-based recreation along the Little River watershed. Boaters and paddlers can enjoy scenic natural surroundings as they explore this major tributary of the Red River system.
