Windy Hill

Windy Hill Landing provides public boat access to the Choptank River in Trappe, Talbot County. The facility features a narrow single launching lane, courtesy dock, and paved parking for approximately 5 boat trailers. A long pier extends into the river, offering good views of the surrounding Poplar Neck Marsh and making this a popular spot for both boaters and bird watchers.

**Important Note:** All vehicles with trailers launching at Talbot County access sites must display a current county permit. Plan accordingly if you're towing a boat. The modest parking capacity means peak times may fill quickly. For paddlers seeking additional amenities, the nearby Choptank Marina offers a soft-launch area for kayaks and canoes along with restroom facilities and picnic areas.
