About This Access Site
This public boat access on Windy Lake in Lake County, Minnesota features a concrete boat ramp with parking for 5-6 vehicles and a latrine facility. The ramp can accommodate boats in the 12-18 foot range, making it suitable for small motorboats, canoes, and kayaks. There are no launch fees at this access point.

The site provides gateway access to backcountry paddling opportunities in the area. Those planning overnight trips should note that camping is available on a first-come, first-served basis at nearby backcountry sites, which include fire grates and latrines. All water should be treated or boiled before drinking, and visitors are reminded to practice Leave No Trace principles including proper food storage and fire management.
