Wolf Lake

Wolf Lake is a 289-acre public access point located in Dassel, Meeker County, offering a boat ramp on the south side of the lake accessible via an access road off Highway 169. This shallow-water ramp is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The lake features brown, bog-stained water typical of Minnesota's northern lake systems, with a maximum depth of 28 feet.

Paddlers should be prepared for the lake's ecological characteristics as a Class 5 Ecological Lake with naturally colored water. The shallow ramp entry makes it easy to launch smaller craft, making this site particularly accessible for kayakers and canoeists. The nearby Litchfield Wetland Management District provides additional outdoor recreation opportunities in the area, and the lake supports fishing and general boating activities throughout the open water season.
