About This Access Site
Wolf Lake is a 289-acre lake located approximately eight miles west of Ely in Becker County. The boat ramp is situated on the south side of the lake and is accessed via an access road off Highway 169. This is a **shallow ramp**, so paddlers and boaters should be mindful when launching, particularly during low water conditions.

The lake features brown, bog-stained water typical of the region and has a maximum depth of 28 feet. As an Ecological Lake Class 5 water body, Wolf Lake is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The lake supports fishing activity and offers a scenic paddling environment for recreational water sports.
