About This Access Site
Woodland Park provides access to the north end of beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene near Rockford Bay. Located approximately 7 miles south of downtown Coeur d'Alene by water, this site offers open-water paddling conditions with access to the lake's sparkling northern reaches. The ramp faces southwest and opens to largely open water, making it suitable for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the main lake. A small daily launch fee applies (Idaho-registered boats: $4/day or $20/year; out-of-state: $8/day or $40/year).

Beyond the boat ramp, the area features Mica Bay Boater Park, a unique boat-in campground just south of the launch site. If you're planning a multi-day paddling trip, the campground offers 16 tent sites, mooring docks, drinking water, and vault toilets available on a first-come, first-serve basis ($20/night per site). This makes Woodland Park an excellent jumping-off point for longer paddling adventures on one of the region's most scenic lakes. The nearby Bell Bay Campground offers an additional reservable camping option within 10 miles.
