Boulder Garden is a technical Class III rapid characterized by a dense concentration of large, closely-spaced granite boulders that create multiple intricate channels and require precise boat positioning. Paddlers must navigate a series of tight, zigzagging lines between undercut rocks and potential hydraulic traps, with the most clean route typically threading through the center-right of the rapid. High water levels can increase the difficulty and create more aggressive holes, making precise route-finding and quick maneuvering critical for safe passage.
