Description
Double Drop features a technical two-stage descent with a sharp ledge and powerful recirculating hole in the first drop, followed by a steep second drop that requires precise boat positioning. Paddlers must navigate a narrow line between exposed river-right rocks and a grabby center hole, with the most clean route involving a right-to-left move that minimizes exposure to the hydraulic. Good river reading skills and quick eddy-catching ability are essential for safely running this Class III rapid.
