Take Out

Take Out is a short, straightforward rapid located near the end of the West Kill run, marking the transition point before the river confluences with Schoharie Creek. The rapid has minimal technical challenges, primarily featuring a clean, relatively unobstructed channel with some minor boulder deflections that require basic boat control and line selection. Paddlers should be aware of potential wood or debris accumulation near the riverbanks and maintain standard downstream awareness as they approach the takeout point.
