Description
This is a classic Oak Creek run. After putting in directly across from Garland's Store, there are small no name rapids lead to a bridge that can potentially be a hazard at higher flows (scout if possible). The first notable rapid, compound fracture, is a sharp right bend along a wall river left (scout river left). From this point, you are committed to the run, being in a steep canyon. The run contiunes through the canyon, with other notable rapids being Grasshopper and Midgley. The biggest boof on the run is at the entrance to Grasshopper, with a 5ft vertical drop. The most serious rapid on this run is Midgley, with a creek wide hole, and then a sharp river left turn, and is finished with a surf wave. Two more miles of read and run lead to the takeout underneath the bridge in Sedona on river right.
