Description
Lightning is a continuous, read and run, class III creek. It is NOT suitable for beginners or shaky intermediate paddlers. Difficulty increases with water level. This is a Class III run with Class V consequences. Know how to read before you go. Riverwide logs are a serious hazard on this section! Scout carefully and don't run anything blind. Keep your group together, and practice good safety. Do not confuse this run with Rapid Lightning Creek, which is another nearby Clark Fork tributary.
