I scouted this creek from the railroad crossing in Claypool almost all the way upstream to Meadow Bridge. The closer you get to Meadow Bridge the narrower the creek is. The first mile or so is too narrow to kayak. The first boatable drop is over a steep hillside maybe halfway down from Meadow Bridge. If memory serves me correctly, the drop was narrow and manky. This creek was full of wood.
The one good drop was close to the railroad crossing. It was a riverwide shelf about 10-12 ft. tall. The line was to the left, however, it involves going over a wide crack in the shelf and a narrow landing. There is a boogie rapid below this drop. I think it takes a lot of water to get this creek moving.
