Description
A rugged exploratory trip featuring three gorge sections with numerous class V rapids thatare a challenge to scout, mandatory portages, and potential wood hazards in a remote and inaccessiblecanyon. Logistics From Highway 101 at Hoodsport, turn west on Highway 119 towards CushmanReservoir. Follow this road up along the reservoir and turn onto FR 24 toward the Staircase Entrance toOlympic National Park which is located at the head of the reservoir. The take-out is at the bridge. Toreach the put-in, it's a 6 mile hike up the North Fork Skokomish Trail.
