Description
The South Fork of Gunpowder Creek (SF) is a Class II+ run that offers a ledge and some decent Class II+ water.  You may wish to  continue beyond the listed take-out to the Gunpowder Nature Preserve where there is good parking and bathrooms available during the warmer months (mid-spring through early-fall).  The downside is an uphill hike at the take-out (200+ feet of vert to climb in just over 1/4 mile). There is sometimes an odor associated with the water.  Like all of our local creeks, there is some level of pollution and this one is no different.
