Description
This upper section of the Clavey is reported to be a classic section and significantly easier than the lower section.  However, the road to the lower bridge can be in very poor condition so driving shuttle can be epic.  Many boaters paddle both the upper and lower sections and then paddle out on the main Tuolumne.     Some boaters camp at the lower bridge while some paddle both upper and lower sections in one long day. Shuttle Info
Driving to the lower bridge take out is reported to be long, hard to find and with potential for trees across the road.  In 2009 it was reported that the road was graded, so is in better shape.
