This is a very scenic stretch of whitewater punctuated with a few drops which are more challenging.
The first mile is moving Class 1-2. This builds to consistant class 2-3. This becomes continuous with few breaks and large eddies. When you get to the bridge you'll want to take a break, it will be continuous again until just above the takeout.
This would be a solid choice for when the Middle Moose is too high, as an intro to rock garden creeking, or as an intermediate step from the Middle Moose/Salmon/Fish Creek/Hudson to the Lower Moose.
Add this to the more commonly run lower section to make a full day.
A Class 5 gorge is located well upstream of this section. It is a 3 mile hike in from the end of Beach Mill road. The beta is that it is committed with 7 drops. The first drop is the biggest, and at low water it has undercuts. Last run in 2015 at 800cfs. If you explore please post photos and a description.
