For those living in or around Southeastern Indiana this is a fun run with some fun play spots.
Most of the property along the river (except the Brookville Town Park) is private so please respect.
The put is just below the dam off of Highway 101. (Stay well below the spillway.) Watch for friendly fishermen. You will float down through several riffles and (at high water) class II-III drops. The last of these will be river left, just before the US 52 bridge and the confluence with the West Fork (old cement factory dumping area). This oblique surfing wave is the most fun, but develops into a powerful keeper hole at high flows (lake let down times).
For take out you may wish to coordinate with (and maybe pay an access fee to) Morgans Canoe (on the Whitewater River, after the confluence with the W.Fork).
