Description
Local expert: Will Reeves, Put-in elevations is about 875. Take out is about about 740. Most of the gradient occurs in a series of slides behind the Banning Mills. This run is also interesting in that you get to paddle through a broached dam. There are several segnificant rapids in this stretch In 1990 Carroll County applied to build a 650 acre reservoir on Snake Creek. The Hill Seaton Reservoir Dam (Snake Creek Reservoir Dam) was completed in late 2001. Its safe to say that the reservoir will probably have a negative effect on the run.
