South Poplar run itself looks like it could be ran at higher flows and would run at a micro class IV. The only feature truly explored and ran on this is the waterfall off of left hand gap road. There is a parking lot, small 6 foot drop, great for beginning hucks and boof practice. Undercut rock on the right but no big deal on small flows.
Definitely scout this small creek if you want to run more of it.
From Claysburg, go up ski gap road towards blue knob. When the road splits into left hand gap and right hand gap, take left hand gap up past the houses and there will be a parking lot once it becomes woods. Park there, you should be able to see the waterfall.
