Description
The put-in and take-out info from Bennett is accurate.  The first time we tried it, I believe the Clack was above 4000 and the creek at the put-in was ripping into a brushy tunnel with no way to scout downstream without trespassing on occupied land.  We bailed as we could not see an eddy downstream and did not want to get swept into a strainer or ???  We came back when it was in the high 2000s and there was just enough at the put-in.  Bennet's description of some small, weir-like drops early in the trip was accurate.  Further down, there were some interesting Class II and III, including a triple-ledge that was barely runnable because of wood hanging in the drops, but many of these rapids were wood-choked.  We had many wood portages and it made what might have been a somewhat interesting and pretty run a nightmare.  As we neared the take-out, side-streams had added to the flow and the last 1/2 mile was pretty fun.
