Description
For those looking for a fly-in float trip with relatively simple logistics close to Anchorage, this is a good option. Commercial trips are even run on this stretch. The trip starts with a flight into the Chugach Mountains before you touch down on Carmen Lake. From the lake outlet you start out on the Glacier River before joining the Twentymile River. The float is through a roadless area and you'll have the opportunity to view wildlife and impressive scenery. The trip ends at the Turnagain Arm.
