Chatham to Valatie

Two minutes from the Chatham exit off the Taconic, this run is a treat!  Elect to put in at the mill pond and paddle the two drops and then under the factory building, or access the river from the foot trail off River Rd which puts you above For Tony. The next large drop is unrunnable and must be portaged on river left. Once back on the river enjoy a tight, steep boulder garden to the confluence with Kinderhook Creek, which heads to Valatie.  Alternately take-outs are at Crellin Park, Highbridge Rd and White Mills Rd.
