Description
An easy Class 2 river run. The creek winds around a large bend with waves and ledges. A nice playspot can be found after the bend, then take out at the second bridge. The shuttle is short enough to walk in a few minutes. If you're looking for a more adventurous day of dodging terrifying strainers and paddling class II, you can extend your paddle to the fishing takeout on Norton Ave (43.059648, -75.388061). The run passes right through the middle of Clinton and has a mix of flatwater, class I-II+ and a few small surf spots. Class II is generous for everything below the bridge, though there's somehow still enough current to put the strainers in play.
