Description
Lake Creek is normally dewatered by the dam and diversion tunnel of the Lake Creek hydroelectric project, however flows suitable for paddling do occu during spring run off. Immediately below the dam, the creek enters a vertical walled canyon with two large potentially unrunnable waterfalls seperated by class III/IV whitewater. It is a short and spectacular section of river, and if runnable at all is only suitable for experts.
