Description
At a flow of 1,000 cfs, the top four miles consist of non discript cobble bars with a surf wave now and then.  Bedrock appears just before the portage/class 5.  Then there are a couple of fun and very pretty class 3 gorges before things mellow to class 2 as you enter Happy Camp.   (Nick Sinderson, 2011) Other Information Sources: CaCreeks guide: Indian Creek Holbeck & Stanley SCHWIND GUIDEBOOK
