Description
Monture Creek is an adventure! It starts with a six-mile hike in, some not quite trailside scouting, and then a run that features some quality Class IV paddling, likely some challenging portages, and incredible scenery featuring rose-colored vertical-walled canyons. We walked the final bouldery runout rapid over the ridge, so I am not sure what that one is like (caution). Monture Creek is very pretty, very challenging, and very wild. Certainly not for everyone, but we had fun. Monture Video As of July 2020 a series of fires has put a lot of wood into the whole creek, making the crux drops essentially unrunnable, unfortunately I would imagine for some time.
