Elijah Creek is an oddly steep creek which still has fewer large rocks than you would find in something on the Cumberland or Appalachians. The creek takes a big flush of rain or snowmelt to run and clearly has hazards with trees. There are ledges and more traditional rapids most of the way to the takeout. The put in is near the airport so do not do anything that makes your boating party look like suspicious behavior.
