Description
Small ledgy stream with moderate willows. Most notable rapid; the Whirlpool, a class III downstream of Hwy 71 bridge where creek crashes into wall and turns north. See www.paddleyak.com for more info. Put-in on North Side of Hwy 270 at low water crossing go East on Hwy 270 from Hwy 71 junction (Y-City) for 1.5 miles and turn left on to the creek crossing. Take-out at gas station on HWY 71 north of Y-City before the creek turns away from the highway and joins the Fourche LaFave River.
