Description
Quick Facts: Location: (north limits of) City of Waukesha. Put-in: 43.0460, -88.2254 Take-out: 43.0415 -88.2103 Shuttle Length: 1.3 miles/3 minutes. Character: Mostly rural-feel float stream (on the edge of the city), with a few riffles and sharp turns to maneuver. Put-in is approximately 832' elevation. Take-out is approximately 815' elevation. Thus total elevation change is approximately 17'. General Overview A minor stream, with some small waves and potentially technical maneuvering to negotiate. In years past, this has been used by the local paddling club as a 'first moving water' experience for students (new boaters). A local Kiwanis Club sponsors a (generally flatwater) race each spring (2024 being the 50th year!), starting well upstream at Koepp Park in Pewaukee, ending at the Frame Park Rotary Building. This may be paired with (or either may be 'substituted for' the other) the listed run on the Fox River in Waukesha, which has it's put-in about 2.25 miles downstream of the listed take-out for this reach.
