As with almost all of the short waterfall runs in Kansas this one takes extended flooding and heavy rains of melting snow. Kahola Creek has a short and probably violently steep “Park and Huck” mini-gorge after it flows past 400 Rd. There is a small dam followed by a congested rock field. There is a small park with a nice access trail to the top of the waterfall. Launch on the side you want. Navigate the big drop. Carefully paddle the low tree and brush field and then hit the V shaped ledge and slide and ride it down to the pool. There is a small rock pile downstream but you most likely just want to get out after the second drop.
