A marked 'rapids', far from most population, doubtful worthwhile by itself, but if you're in the area, bored, and looking for something new to paddle . . . there appears to be nearly 0.75 mile of rapids.
It may be possible to shorten the run via other access, but it would appear to entail getting permission from private property owners.
This is not far from the only marked 'rapids' a bit northeast of Toivola on the (85-mile) long
upper stretch of the St.Louis river. (See Rapids tab and Map tab on that description), which could make a reasonable pair of 'short hits' for someone in the area.
An anonymous reporter provides (2010-05-06):
_I paddled this stretch this weekend and would not recommend it unless it rained for forty days and nights. Even then, I can't see it ever being more than class II._
