Description
Landowner relations have deteriorated in recent years on the Sheepscot. Please be very respectful of the locals. Don't drive too fast; don't litter; don't go undressing in public. Use your head, or all paddlers will have a major headache here! I canoed this once in the fall with my parents. Don't recall the level, but it was a serious portagefest over at least a dozen beaver dams below the lake. The rapid at the end was too hard for our flatwater canoe. My dad and I have done a lot of canoeing, and I've kayaked a bunch, so we thought we'd try it.  We got immediately 180'd and stuffed into the right bank..that was enough for us :-). I suppose its class II-III in a kayak, but its short.
