Super Slide

According to kayak session magazine the slide is: 341 feet tall 1800 feet long. Lat and Long are educated guesses. This is the big slide featured in Scott Lindgrens Aerated Video. NH wrote at Boof.com " Best thing to do would probably be to hike/boat to the slide from Tenaya lake, run the slide and hike back up. It's one mile each way. Upon exiting Tenaya Lake, the creek meanders through a meadow with negligable gradient for about a mile. The creek channalizes at the end of this mile and enters a short but steep gorge full of nothing but jagged rocks. At the end of the gorge, the creek bends left and immediately pours over the slide. I don't think the gorge is runnable but I've only seen it with low water. Just get out above the gorge and walk over the dome on river left. I have no idea if there is anything good below the slide but I would imagine it's nothing as good as the slide itself. BTW. If you come to late in the year and the water is too low...you can butt slide the bottom 300 feet of the slide into the pool. It's awesome. The rock is so slick you just come flying into the pool with no scrapes. Went two years ago in August andI must have done 15 laps. There's probably 25 cfs that time of year but the low flow keeps the pool at the bottom pretty warm."
