in the falls section, i prefer the trail on river right. river left is okay but the section right beside the road is poison ivy choked.
there is a surprise waiting for you if you paddle about 1/2 mile down past the last slide. you will know it when you see it. down there the trail on river left is better than river right, but both are long walks back. hunter and i were disappointed in the short ending the first time we went down there. we got our hopes up seeing the class I-II little pile of rocks right after the last slide...if you have the rest of the afternoon to kill, set shuttle on whatever road comes next and go check it out. i have a feeling there will be something there.
