Description
Smithtown Creek, Pa.A big frothy cappuchino on the rocks.
This is pretty much one long class IV-V rapid with no big individual drops. Eddies are few and generally boat sized (no big groups). Note the location of the eddies (as well as any strainers) during your scout. Any swims would be a nasty bounce/smash/slide down the river bed. I would imagine that the strainers and pin spots change with every rainfall that's big enough to bring this up.
Scout before you put on!Many of the eddies are 1 boat or smaller and there aren't many of them.

**Put-in**: Drive up the road alongside the creek and find a spot. If you're ready for this run you shouldn't need info from me on how to park near and access creeks.
**Take-out:** I parked on **Smithtown Rd.**, took out before the canal, and just climbed up the bank to my car. Others who have run it have told me that it is much more fun to run down further, to the Delaware (over one good drop) but I'm not sure where they parked. (Once again, if you're ready for this run you'll be able to figure it out).
