Description
Weitas Creek is primarily a class II run through primitive Idaho cedar and fir forests. The drainage has an excellent trail system and one road access part way through the run. The take-out is easy by most standards, being on the NF Clearwater. The put-in requires dragging your boat down a trail from Liz Butte for four miles. Only the last few miles have any whitewater, a few class III and IV. Plan a few extra days to run the NF Clearwater to make the whole thing worthwhile. Camping is great, both on the creek and on the Clearwater.
