There have been suggestions that it may be possible to park at Boldig Road, either to use this as your take-out for the listed run (knocking off ~1.3 miles of mostly lesser gradient), or ...At times when the flow is right to make the above-mentioned dam playable (as opposed to nasty/keepy), it may be possible to paddle upstream from here to do a 'park-and-play' of that dam.
