Goldeneye Rapids features a technical entry with a tight line between two prominent mid-river boulders that create swirling hydraulics and demand precise boat positioning. The rapid's primary challenge is a series of staggered Class II+ waves and a persistent diagonal hole on river right that can easily pull unwary paddlers off their intended route, requiring confident eddy-hopping and quick maneuvering.
