Log Flume

Staton's Creek - Staton's Falls to Pedlar River (VA)

Gauge Conditions
Runnable: 200.0 – 700.0 CFS
Description

Log Flume is not the biggest drop on the creek, but it seems to be one of the most difficult. As the name implies, this rapid can often collect some wood, so look carefully. Starting from river-right, most folks boof into the entrance, then make the tight turn into the "flume" slide past the left side of a large, undercut boulder. WARNING: The large boulder beside the flume is highly back cut. The undercut portion can collect sticks and logs that could be a hazard to swimmers.
