Description
The North Fork Flathead's rapid presents a technical Class III challenge with a series of boulder-studded drops requiring precise boat positioning. Paddlers should be prepared for tight channel navigation and intermittent powerful hydraulics, with the primary line running along the right side of the rapid to avoid potentially recirculating holes near midstream rocks. Careful scouting is recommended, particularly during higher water levels when the rapid's features become more dynamic and consequential.
