Ship Creek Valley Trailhead Parking

Traditional access to the creek is a 30 minute hike off of Arctic Valley Road just below the Arctic Valley Ski Area. Ample parking at the trailhead is available for public use as it also provides access for the commonly-used Arctic to Indian Traverse ski touring trail during the winter months. The initial downhill segment of the trail from the Arctic Valley Road to Ship Creek crosses about 2 miles of lands administered by JBER before crossing into Chugach State Park. The put-in is a short distance on the established trail from here.
