Kinnickinnic (St.Croix trib) - West Park Street to CTH.F (7.6 miles) (WI)

Gauge Conditions
Runnable: 150.0 – 1,000.0 CFS

Undoubtedly too low for any real whitewater. Flatwater will be fine, but shoals/gradient will be a scrape.

Description

We recommend taking out here. While there are a few more areas of shoals, riffles and rips in the ~1.9 miles downstream (to the mouth of the Kinnickinnic), the gradient is much dimished, and you will have a longer walk/carry to where you can park a shuttle vehicle.

Additionally, on any sort of pleasant sunny day, the Kinnickinnic Sandbar (at the St.Croix) is likely to be filled with powerboats and people (drinking and partying).
