Description
Take Out is a nondescript rapid at the end of the Petersburg section, marking the conclusion of a flat, rarely-run stretch of the Sangamon River. Due to limited water levels and minimal gradient, the rapid offers little technical challenge and primarily serves as a takeout point for paddlers completing this remote Illinois river segment.
